Do blue-light blocking glasses improve sleep?
What are blue light (blocking) glasses? (CLICK HERE)
Blue light is blocked or filtered out by the blue light glasses.
Blue-light-blocking eyewear helps people sleep better and reduces eye strain and damage to their eyes.
Blue light generating screens can throw off the body's natural rhythm, which can interfere with a sound five-phase sleep cycle and the circadian rhythm.
The Test.
From 8.00 pm, wear blue light blocking glasses for four nights.
Watch TV, and view phones & ipads (note - I have also turned my phone to night shift blocking light).
Assess sleep metrics via the garmin forerunner – Deep, Light & REM.
Assess metrics for four nights with and without wearing blue light glasses.
Summary (Observation).
While elementary data can be interpreted differently, it appears my REM (nutritious sleep) phase increased post blue glasses.
Falling to sleep seemed to come more quickly.
Usually, I wake up well before my 5am alarm. Data indicates I woke (lively) immediately before the alarm.
Summary
If you're having trouble falling asleep quickly, this cheap experiment is worth a shot, even if it makes you look stupid.

⌚ Start your stop watch, close your eyes, and stop your stop watch on catching your fall.
