    Outside the elite, the main performance limiter in long-distance running is functional strength and endurance. Rarely do factors like fitness, metabolism, heat distribution, or lactic buffering contribute to a sub-optimal performance.
    Running-related injuries and slowing down during the end of races are linked to poor functional strength.
    We focus on enhancing running economy and developing greater strength endurance.
